Why does Fill Out Pdf allow JavaScript in their Fill Out Pdf program?

For things like form validation, where t send you a PDF of something that you need to fill out, and the JS code will check that where it needs a number you’ve actually entered a number. But, yeah, probably not the smartest decision to include JS, considering the above is relatively rarely used and the security issues are huge.

PDF documents can be cumbersome to edit, especially when you need to change the text or sign a form. However, working with PDFs is made beyond-easy and highly productive with the right tool.

Fill out PDF: All You Need to Know

One of the worst parts of the above is that it also includes some JavaScript code that is also in the UI.  That's what I meant when I said the JS doesn't seem to run at all (in my experience).  We have an awesome UI that is being manipulated to do something that is completely inappropriate for the UI.  That is bad UX, and I'm really sick of it.  If you could just disable the JS, I have no idea what would happen.  I'm guessing the “code” that is going on under the UI is just making sure some things are working. Not that this isn't being done, but, again, I have no idea what other possible UI code might be being used on this page.  I have no idea how to disable anything under this particular UI — not even JS! As a developer it can be.
